Glamorous and classy, this wedding at Casa Loma Toronto is luxury done right.
The ceremony took place outdoors in the beautiful garden and the reception was celebrated inside the glass pavilion. It’s the best of both indoor/outdoor worlds on a beautiful bright summer day. Read on for all the exquisite detail.
Getting ready
The bridal suite with soaring high ceilings and chandeliers was a beautiful, bright space to get ready for the bride. She chose an elegant lace-silk gown with a dramatic cathedral veil. You can really appreciate the beauty of this style from the shots of her walking down the spiraling staircase. She emerges from the french doors towards the outdoor garden for the first look, which is right under a quaint greenery arch.
Outdoor garden ceremony
The floral colour palette is classic white, with white cherry blossoms surrounding the altar, and beautiful rose juliet by the aisles. The castle itself makes an impressive backdrop for the occasion, with the glass pavilion by the side inviting guests to the celebration to follow. We made sure to make time for some lovely couple portraits before the ceremony.
Glass pavilion reception
The glass pavilion sits in the backyard of Casa Loma. It’s incredibly bright and spacious, with white clothes draping over the ceilings with chandeliers, creating a beautiful diffused light (aka makes you look fabulous on camera!) Again, the beautiful white florals are brought indoors to bring the whole space together.
As the sun sets, don’t forget to sneak out of the celebration for some sunset portraits by the castle. The warm light hits the stones at a beautiful angle and really makes some incredibly romantic portraits.
As the evening continues, inside the glass pavilion turns into a warm glow by the chandeliers and candle lights. The dance floor opens, the bride changes into a layered shorter dress, and the celebration continues into the night.
